The purpose of the story, in my opinion, is to let the readers know that you need to put alot of thought into a decision you are about to make, bacause it might turn out to be something that it really isn't.
I think the purpose of this story is to show people that u better think it all through before u decide what u want to do because u might regret it and then u will be stuck with it.
The purpose of this story is that you should weigh out all of your options before you make a decision. You need to see how the decision will help you or how it can hurt you later on.
I think the purpose of the story is to show how not thinking through things can really put you in a bad place. Alot of decisions that i make i get excited and just throw out a conclusion. I will for sure try and be more thoughtful and careful.
The story is yet another tale spun around the same moral...Be careful with your choices, you have to deal with the consequences. Although this story does have an interesting twist...the main character is freed from his abusing wife, given a treasure, and an investment for that money that gives him a life of comfort and wealth. Even though his wealth came in a rather shady way, he still had a life of ease. In most stories with this same moral, the hero/heroine learns quickly the mistakes they made. However, Tom Walker had to wait until the end of his days on this world to recieve his upcomance. The purpose of this tale is not only to entertain the reader with a creative and more different plot than general, but to push that smae moral into your mind with a little more force than usual too.
