When Tom Walker made his decision, his consequences were way worse then mine. He lost everything, I didn't lose anything! He should have been smarter in his decision making.
Although sometimes I think I'm about to die in cross country, I didn't come near as close as Tom Walker did. Sometimes we have to think our choices through and think of the consequences before we have to committ to something.
In the book Tom Walker made some decisions that came back to "bite" him and he suffered the consequences. My consequences were not as horid as Tom Walker's.
Tom Walkers decision cost him a whole lot more than my lost time. When i made my decision i didnt lose much more than time, and maybe a few fun events. Tom Walker lost everything. Goes to show i could have bigger regrets than wat im worried about.
Both Tom Walker and I made a decision that brought instant gratification and only hurt us in the long run. Of course, his situation was so much more dramatic than mine. Not only was his gratification a life of wealth and comfort, however illbegotten it was, a far cry ahead of my gratification, but his consequences trumped mine by much more than a far cry.

ReplyDeleteTom Walker actually had consequences unlike my decision. He just didn't realize how big of a decision he was making.
