All of the memories stored in my little brain are filled with either happiness or laughter, or they are filled with mad or sad expierences. It is like reading a book over and over again. Instead of it being written down, it is stored in your soul, where you will remember it forever!
My thoughts on this quote is that they are trying to say that your memory is something very unique and is used everyday to make personal notes to yourself such as in a journal.
Memory is like a journal. It takes the information down and soaks it in like a sponge. Some of the information stays back into a deep whole. And some keeps popping up out of no where and just going along with everything else.
Memory is like a personal journalism of the soul, because your soul is supposed to be what makes you happy and stuff like that, i think. so, when you make a memory, it is stored in your soul and no one else can know about your memory except for you.
Memories in your life time are like your own personal journal. When you think back about all of your favorite memories they are really just a journal of details that you have collected during that period of time. When you write an actual journal they are your thoughts about a subject and your personal feelings.
Journalism...it can be seen as one person cataloging or recording an event and reporting it. Memory...it can be seen as a person recording an event only it's in their mind. Technically they are the same just with a different medium. People use their memory to journalize the notable moments in their lives.
Your memory is just like a journal, what happens in your life is stored there although it is not written it is permanently logged, unless you hit your head really hard.
