It means that if you make up your mind that your going to be happy, then that will happen. But if you have already decided in your mind that you aren't going to be very happy then you wont
On Gus's comment, Votaire is talking about how not everybody in this world thinks their way through things. In a sense, everybody is "blonde" and they tend to do things without giving their actions any thought.
On Stetson's comment, Abraham Lincoln is talking about how you are going to be what your mind tells you to be, so you have to stay positive and happy and you will be positive and happy, believe it or not!
To my quote: When you fall it tests your character on how you will handle things, and kind of gives you an example on how your life will continue you to go. Will you crumble every time you are faced with a challenge, or will step up and take it head on?
On my quote William Hurt has a very good point. If you coware at things in life and never take risks then you won't get much accomplished because of all the risks that you will come upon.
On Stetson's quote I think that's 100% true. Those who make themselfs out to be unhappy will sooner or later become that way one way or another.
On Brett's quote I believe that Confucious is saying to not focus on not doing well but to focus on gaining knowledge from that and learn from it to become better.
To Stetson's: If people set out in their day already decided that they don't want to be happy....they wont be. Yet, if they decide to enjoy life, they will.
